KEEPING RIDERS SAFE

A Deliveroo spokesperson said: "In the interest of keeping riders safe, Deliveroo's service is not available in London and the South East or Wales and areas of the Southward W at the moment due to the ruby-red conditions warning and adverse conditions.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and remain in shut contact with our partners and riders to let them know when we plan to reopen these areas."

A Just Eat spokesperson said it has temporarily paused the app in locations with cherry-red weather warnings in place.

They said: "Our local teams are closely monitoring the situation and nosotros hope to resume services as before long as it is prophylactic to do so."

Just Eat also said that has suspended deliveries in some locations where it has riders.

The majority of takeaways on the platform utilise their own commitment drivers and it's up to individual restaurants if they continue with deliveries or not.

A Just Eat spokesperson said: "Courier safety is our number one priority and we accept suspended our commitment services in all areas with cherry weather warnings.

"We are continuously monitoring the situation and volition restart deliveries in one case it is safe to exercise then."
